On Thursday 11th July, and as has been the case every year since 2013, OLVEA’s Philanthropic Fund organised a ceremony to sign agreements to sponsor future graduates from the fécampois region.
Last week, Christophe Godard joined the Global Compact France’s General Meeting. OLVEA has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2015; it is the largest global initiative on social responsibility.
For more than 10 years, OLVEA has been developing a Shea supply chain in Burkina Faso; it has recently been fair-trade certified according to Ecocert‘s Fair for Life standard. Every year, in order to produce its butter, OLVEA Burkina Faso buys Shea kernels directly from farmers’ organizations and women producers.
OLVEA has been working for more than 10 years for the development of sustainable value chains, and is an historic partner of L’Oreal’s Solidarity Sourcing program with its Shea butter supply chains produced in Burkina Faso.

From 2013 to 2018, OLVEA’s Philanthropic Fund has financed 4 literacy campaigns in Burkina Faso, enabling 563 people to learn how to read, write and count.
